The Senior Director, Enterprise Initiatives Lead is responsible for the strategic planning and managing of major initiatives and programs being conducted across business units and the most complex process improvement initiatives. You will be a key strategic thought partner with executives and single point of contact for projects under your oversight. You’ll maintain a systematic approach to sizing opportunities, developing businesses cases as well as supervising implementation. You’ll develop and implement solutions which drive operational transformation leading to better customer, member or colleague experience in addition to expense savings.
This leader will be a vital team member on the Enterprise Modernization team, reporting to the SVP, Enterprise Modernization. You will be responsible for the overall results and deliverables related to the individual initiatives and will collaborate with senior leadership across several business units. You'll manage a team, inclusive of consultants, and will collaborate directly with cross-functional colleagues to align on planning and execution.
The Senior Director uses healthcare business knowledge, management consulting skills, innovation frameworks, processes skills, change management and continuous improvement methodologies, measurements & tools to analyze issues, develop and implement solutions which drive operational transformation predominately at an enterprise level. This colleague will need to develop strong relationships with senior executives to execute projects and maximize impact.
1. Responsible for developing the strategy and successful execution of 15-20 high-value cross-enterprise initiatives, that include:
• Innovative, modernization efforts in diverse business areas including marketing, clinical and fulfillment among others
• Implementation of new automation technology and an innovative, continual improvement mindset within the business units
• Process improvement initiatives that cut across multiple business units and functional areas to achieve enterprise alignments and efficiencies
Strategically partner with senior leaders in each of the business and functional organizations to:
• Provide leadership on innovative strategies and identify other areas of opportunity
• Lead a team to size opportunities, develop businesses cases, implementation, and staffing efforts
• Effectively execute a robust change management and communication plan that minimizes organizational disruption; improves the customer, patient, and client experience; and minimizes the colleague engagement impact
2. Lead a team of direct reports through the planning, execution and support of the initiatives.
• Build and lead a high performing team to manage multiple, parallel transitions/transformation programs that will execute the operational changes to the organization’s business and operational functions
• Effectively lead teams of consultants and independent contractors to support deliverables, ensure effective alignment, collaboration and execution
3. Collaborate with multiple partners including SVP Enterprise Modernization, Executive leadership, Finance, BU executives, and various executive committees including the EM Council and Business Planning Committee (BPC).
• Analyze and report progress toward achieving financial goals, as well as leading performance metrics and indicators
• Develop executive updates

Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of business experience in a health insurance or pharmacy benefit management company
• 7+ years of demonstrated ability leading large, cross-BU operational transformation and process improvement initiatives in large organizations
• 5+ years of management consulting experience with an internal team or management consulting firm
Preferred Qualifications
• Executive-level experience leading sophisticated, cross-BU operational transformation projects
• Strong operational knowledge of a health insurance, pharmacy benefit management or pharmacy retail business preferred
• Able to interact, partner and provide thought leadership for executives with comfort and ease
• Executive level leadership utilizing automation and process improvement tactics
• Possess intellectual curiosity and the confidence to challenge the status quo and embrace and champion change
• Demonstrated strength in managing multiple projects and/or programs (i.e. collection of sub-projects) within a matrixed environment
• Experience with consulting methodologies and frameworks including innovation, analysis, expertise in operating models, governance, visual storyboarding methodologies, change management and process re-engineering
• Extensive experience with aligning stakeholders, facilitating conflict, and communicating with executives in varying settings including workshops, management committee meetings or one-on-one meetings
• High level of confidence and resilience, and the ability to operate across many functions in the organization
• Highly effective at managing both up and down in a matrixed organization and translating complex programs to executive management as well as team members
• Strong program management, interpersonal and influencing skills, communications, and executive presentation skills
• Strong understanding of finance and budgeting
• Ability to lead and direct consulting teams to effectively deliver on any project
Education
Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Master's degree preferred
