Job Description

He or she can strategize quality effectively with engineering teams. The QA Engineer plays a key role in developing test strategies, analyzing complex software systems and code, implementing automation frameworks, and ensuring all product applications work as they should to successfully deliver a positive customer experience.
Fundamental Components
- Ability to perform responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Analyst
- Analyzes functional and nonfunctional requirements to design specific test scenarios that ensure proper test coverage and depth.
- Leverage appropriate testing tools and techniques based in the technology domain
- Identifies means to be more effective and efficient in testing without compromising quality.
- In-depth Subject Matter Expertise in existing applications.
- Create test scripts or other technical work products needed to implement the test design.
- Create and maintain the Traceability matrix
- Identifies, documents, creates, and maintains the valid and invalid test data needed to execute tests as designed
- Identifies and acquires other assets needed for testing, such as environments and load generation.
- Manages the test environments to enable stabilization and standardization across the projects.
Background Experience
- Manual testing of digital assets with basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Able to craft, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software using Scrum and Agile development methodologies, including daily standups and iteration planning meetings.
- Ability and willingness to have fun participating in team activities to build a constructive and positive team culture that promotes collaboration and innovation
- Design, implement and articulate testing strategies, test automation and test engineering technologies, and modern test solutions.
- Lead the end-to-end test strategies for Quality Engineering team and coordinates allocations on project assignments.
- Working knowledge of automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG framework
- Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager or any CMS is a plus and not mandatory
- Excel macro skills and Mobile and cross browser testing
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- A phenomenal teammate who does not need extensive supervision
- Ability to work constructively with developers, QA, IT, and Project managers towards a common goal
- Ability to recommend, identify and track automation coverage at a project level
- Willingness to relocate to Wellesley, MA or Hartford, CT
Additional Job Information
Solid understanding of QES processes and methodologies, with the ability to share that knowledge with peers and team members and drive adherence throughout the QES organization.Financial aptitude to manage and maintain project budgets.Strong time management skills.Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.Ability to analyze the dependencies and gaps between projects within a project to achieve Testing goals.Strong verbal and written communication skills, internally (within team or department) and externally to all business partners and constituents.
