Job Description
The Director of Patient Intake, Coram has ultimate oversight and accountability for key intake functions:

Benefit verification and authorization management of new patients

New patient benefit estimate communication and coordination via a team of patient care coordinators

Add/change order and re-authorization processing for existing patients

Adherence to claims excellence and quality through timely and accurate payer load and authorization management

You will maintain high levels of productivity, quality, and service, while meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements and company standards. This leader will set the direction and lead efforts to continuously improve the customer/patient experience. You set the culture and direction for the operational teams by clearly defining objectives and setting and refining processes to ensure that the intake team advance the short and long term goals of CVS Specialty Infusion. You will lead and empower teams while delivering excellent service to our patients, clients, and business partners.

- Responsible for leading and continuously improving the Coram Intake Operations model

- Responsible for the development of reporting, goals, metrics and outcomes; as well as driving the performance and results

- Leads the team in building the staffing plan, model; hiring, recruiting, training and developing the team integrating as a part of the CVS Health enterprise

- Evaluates the key operational differentiators in the market and adjusts / modifies the model to meet and exceed market expectations

- Leads a collaborative model supporting Coram Operations, Field Sales with growth opportunities inclusive of leading the industry with market differentiating operational services to meet the needs of all partners

- Collaborates and partners effectively with Shared Services in order to improve collection rates, minimize controllable adjustments, though effective policies and procedures

- Responsible for building market leading model supporting all customer needs, building an intake operating model that compliments and continues to support the business growth strategy and overall results

- Develops market share improvement plans for each line of business to leverage specific market dynamics

- Supports the field sales team with specific growth opportunities; supporting products and services for hospitals and payers

- Drives collaboration and partnerships with key hospitals, practices, payers

- Actively supports and identifies differentiated capabilities to create value and growth

- Establishes daily, weekly, monthly performance metrics and dashboards to drive the business

- Manages monthly budgets, actual results, and forecasts/projections

- Responsible for working across the enterprise to ensure a seamless patient and provider experience

- Supports and drives an environment of accountability, internal business partners & patient centric, service and growth

- Responsible for understanding market trends and key competitors

Required Qualifications
8+ years demonstrated people leadership and management experience

5+ years of proven leadership in managing multiple operations processes

5+ years’ experience with financial budgets and meeting financial goals and planning

Up to 25% travel

Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated track record in leading customer facing teams of 500+ employees

Home infusion experience and familiarity with payer reimbursement practices and authorization requirements

Proficiency in leading virtual and matrixed teams across many locations

Ability to implement standardized practices nationally while delivering value and results locally

Master's degree

Education
Bachelors required.
