The Senior Manager, Customer Growth Strategy, will be responsible for deriving customer insights that can drive business growth. You will dive deep into internal and any available external data on our customers, competitors and our business ecosystem at large to identify key opportunities that can help improve customer and business value. . You will report to the Director of Loyalty and Personalization Customer Growth Strategy, with exposure and engagement at VP levels.
You will need to have a passion for understanding customer behavior by leveraging multiple data sources e.g. our own transactional data, third party data, or any qualitative or quantitative research we might undertake. The ideal candidate would also be a customer evangelist to the business and our partners, and put the customer at the fore-front of our thinking.
Responsibilities Include:
•Drive thought leadership to articulate growth hypotheses and scope analysis required to validate
•Analyze customer data to size and scope growth opportunities, including a business case and/or a path to realizing business value
•Partner with cross-functional teams, notably analytics and channel, to bring the opportunity to market
•Build learning agendas, analyze results, and integrate findings into the organization for on-going execution and refinement
Required Qualifications
5+ years experience in customer strategy, data-driven marketing, product development, or other relevant business functions.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred in fields such as Business Administration (M.B.A.), Consumer Behavior (M.A.), Behavioral Economics (M.A.). Open to considering candidates with deep work experience to offset (if candidate does not have a Master’s degree)
·Superb critical reasoning skills, and ability to lead hypothesis-based thinking to deliver superior business outcomes
·Experience delivering financial results in fluid, often ambiguous operating environments
·Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
·Keen ability to distill complex ideas into simpler frameworks and illustrations. Comfort with utilizing data to tell a story through PowerPoint or Excel
·Demonstrated comfort with analyzing data, and ability to use data-driven insights to distill customer insight
·Demonstrated capability to deliver results while providing positive leadership in a fast-paced, multi-project team-oriented environment
·Ability to partner cross-functionally to deliver team goals, but also improve overall outcomes
·Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment to deliver quick-turnaround asks, and balance that with long-term strategic thinking
·Passion for understanding and meeting the needs of the customer
Education
Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.); Masters Preferred.
